Date Post
10/9/2004 6:24:32 AM Dear Paul,

Would you mind I am asking you what are your plan for next release of Wilson ORMapper? any new features? or improve performance or get more stable? or jump to .Net 2.0?
10/11/2004 9:00:06 AM There will definitely be a version with generics, and probably nullable types, at some time, but I'm in no rush since things are still changing at this stage of .NET v2.0 -- probably around the time-frame of Beta 2. Until then, there aren't any performance problems that I'm aware of, nor stability issues any longer, so I have worried too much yet about the next release -- ORMapper v3.0 so far has been solid. Of course, there are one or two small bugs (so minor I don't recall what they are without looking them up) which means I won't put it off forever, but there hasn't been any need to rush either. As for new features, that depends -- I have some sent to me by others, but I can't promise any will make it until I actually test them myself -- I also have a few on my list to do, but I can't promise which will make it either yet. So please keep in mind that nothing is definite when I give you the following list, nor is it necessarily comprehensive yet: one-to-one relationships, composite key relationships, multiple-level embedded objects, optional mapping to properties, multiple mapping files, pre-fetch/spans.

Thanks, Paul Wilson
